I have an EK hatch with GSR swap, running a love fab ramhorn manifold,46 mm tial wastegate with a GT35R
Will the Gt40R fit on the Love Fab ramhorn with t3/t4 flange, and will there be enough clearance by the radiotor to fit the downpipe.
Any clearance issues between block and turbo?
Need to know this before i buy the turbo, will be going top mount eventually but for now i need to do it with the love fab (if possible)

unless your running a T4/35R i don think so. to my knowledge there is no such thing as a T3 housing GT40R

I have a Lovefab ramhorn with a GT40R in an accord with a/c and p/s and the turbo fits fine with no clearance issues.

Why does the lovefab mani have a bolt pattern for t3 and t4 turbo ? and why or there 8 threaded holes in the flange?

Yeah, I thought all there manifolds were flanged for both too...

Thanks man i was starting to question myself, but now i still need to know if the GT40R will have any clearance issues or not.
Especially between the block and turbo.

I think that the GT40&gt; series would not be a GT40&gt; if equipped with a T3 inlet. Unless you can order a Special Hybrid , but then again it wouldn't be a GT40. It would probably have the same flow characteristics as the GT40 but it would surely not be a GT40.

The maifold is flanged for t3 and t4 turbos..........

Post pics of how close your current turbo is to your block. I might be able to guesstamate. The best thing to do would be to call Love Fab and ask him.

I removed setup , i'm awaiting my ERL block that's why it would be nice to now if the GT40R could fit. I don't live in the States so everything needs to be shipped overseas and that takes a shitload of time, if i knew for sure that it fits i would order the turbo so that it can arrive at the same time as the block.

are you absolutely sure about that? most manifolds that are T3/T4 compatible mean they are flanged T3 turbos not T4.

when someone syas they have a T3/T4 turbo it means they have A hybrid turbo that has charachteristics of a T4 turbo with a T3 4 bolt flange.

i have never seen a flange that had 8 threaded holes on it.

if you have a lovefab ram horn manifold that is flanged for T3/T4 turbos then 99% sure you have a T3 flange on that manifold running a T3 GT35R and a GT40 wil NOT fit on your manifold becuase those turbos have the larger 4 bolt T4 flanges.

then i see no reason why a GT40 would not work on your setup. your manifold is flanged for it and if i remember correctly when i had my ram horn manifold i didnt have any clearance issues with a T4 turbo.

You should just contact love fab to end this! Im sure he will know if it will fit. The turbine wll fit, have you already notched the block to fit your old compressor?

Thanks man, i know the turbo will fit the mani but i need to know if the turbo will clear the block and the radiator for downpipe fitment.

Just buy the freaking Turbo and if it needs to be notch , we notch it, if it does not fit, so be it,, i know it would fit mine, so you can then sell it to me for 50% off..........

i would guess, since lovefab sells it with a T4 pattern also that they designed it to fit a larger T4 turbo as well.

One more question: if i use a GT40R with divided turbine housing on the mani(undividid) will there be any negative effects?

it wont spool quite as fast as a pulse dived manifold, but you cant make a ramhorn pulse divided anyway.

Then it should fit, you might have to notch the block but I am 85% sure it will fit.
