Loud whistling noise.....fuel pump??
My gs-r is 100% stock, except for a walbro 255lph fuel pump that I installed about 2 month ago. I havn't had any noise problems till about a week ago. The noise is very loud.
I was fixing my antenna and had to remove my back seat. When I did, I can hear the noise extermely loud where the pump is. However, when i lean down to the exhaust, i hear the noise too. Also, under the hood, the noise is near the ABS box. However, it's loudest at the fuel pump.
Now, i have heard that those pumps are usually louder than the stock ones, but if that's true, I don't understand why the noise came after like 2 month...
Could that have messed up my CAT since it would be running a bit richer?
TIA

You guys ever seen that black GN TT with the turbo's that stick out through the hoods?
There is a video of it somewhere, listen to that fuel pump, and then tell me yours is loud

nothing is louder than the fuel pumps that GM used on all of their trucks for the last 15 years.
good Lord, i work at a harbor and when a Chevy is coming with a boat you can almost hear their fuel pumps before you hear their flowmasters...

This is true...my friend's GM is so effing loud.
If you think a Walbro is loud, try riding in a Honda with an Aermotive pump.

Yea, I have it on my comp too, I love that car.
P. S. I was just too lazy to post the link...
I have another video of it, an in-car view, that one you can hear the pumps.

Doing some of the minor work first so when it's time to boost, it doesn't take forever.

Re: (RNPoo7)
holy mother of coincidence. i finally heard mine whine...and i did exactly what u did. i checked the rear right tire fender...where it was loudest. then i went near the exhaust..and i heard it there. but then i went to the engine bay..and i faintly heard it there too. i'm so glad you posted...now i know its just my fuel pump. what a relief. thanks.
however...mine doesnt' whine all the time...and yesterday is actually the first time i heard it. and i installed my turbo about 4000 miles ago. weird.

No better way to start your day, when you get inside your car, shut the door and put the key in the ignition... Turn the key slightly hear *wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....hhhhhhhhhhhmmmm...* It's like a big sigh of relief after releasing a monster ****, best thing you've felt/heard in a long time. Then you start the car.. Okay, I'm done.. lol
