Lost Tial 38mm WG nipple can i use brass fitting????
Ok i've been useing the side nipple for on my tial 38mm WG for my manuel boost controller.. I've misplaced the top nipple that screws in the WG and i'm gonna start installing my AVCR tommorow and need both nipples..
Can i just use a brass fitting with teflon tape??
I know the nipple has the bolt that has the whole through it but not sure it matters... I tried to call tial to get them to rush me 1 but all they show is a fax number...

My friend was using one and it worked fine. Just make sure to use the tape like you said.

10x1.0mm is correct.
On a further note, if you use the non-original banjo fitting and barb, you need to make sure whatever you are using is the same length as the original Tial hardware, if it's too long, you can rip the diaphragm.

damn man your scaring me now.. i was gonna go to the hardware store and home depot tommorow looking for a 10mmx1.0mm brass fitting... Are you sure the top fitting hole on the cap will reach the diaphram?? i could see maybe the side port but going straight down the middle??
i could load it up with teflon and only screw it in a few turns getting it tight quick with the tape??
think it might work??

could also use crush washers to space it off to the normal tial length, the picsI sent show only a 1.35mm difference between mine and tial
banjo bolts wont seal unless they are tightened so the teflon wont work

Yeah, it was ironic, after I posted I saw the post you linked in the forum main page.
I'm in the process of running AN fittings and line for vacuum for my 44mm and 50mm BOV and am going to end up having them machined down to the same length.
To the OP, just take your time and do it right, if you'd like measurements of the original Tial pieces, PM me
