Looks like Golden Eagle F'ed my block !
Well the car started today, and it is leaking oil on the back of the head where it connects to the block in two places...Looks like GE milled it too much, or too little. Hopefully we can torque down the head about 10ft/lbs more and It will seal, if not , back to the damn machine shop...This is another foul up by Golden Eagle, the first thing they did was not even tell be about the motor needing to be line bored. They just did their work and sent it back, I could have bolted it in and all the main bearings would have been ruined. I took it to the machine shop and they said the Line Bore was way off...AND they took about 2 months with my block...Thanks Golden Eagle !!!!

what head gasket do you have?
What did you torque the head down too?
What head studs you have?

I would probably verify that GE fucked up by getting a manchine shop to check the specs before bashing a company when it could very well be your fault.

Get your sleeves checled make sure they have not sunk or dropped. Could be a GE fault maybe not. Check it out, take it to reputable machine shop. Good luck.

why would it be GEM's responsibility to check the line bore of your crank? did you tell them to do so?

not to sound like a retard, but when i first put my engine together, it shot oil everywhere at high pressue from between the head and block. turns out in my eagerness to start the car i put the head gasket on backward just a thought. good luck.

God forbid you ask Ted about this one......... My motor needed the sleeves pressed out and new ones put in, I asked about a line bore, Vince blew me off like a 2$ *****, Ted responded like my assuming I needed a linebore was very inaccurate.... All I know is this bitch better not leak when it goes together.
