Default Looking for your all's 2 cents on the later produced OBX LSD's

I know when the OBX differential was first released, it was known to be assembled horribly, loose bolts, stripped bolts, etc.. and it also liked to NOT let go of your axles.

Have they improved here lately since they have been out a good time now? or are they still hit or miss if you get a 'good' one or not?

thanks

-Wade

As far as I know every one takes them apart and rebuilds them just to be sure.

uh...how does that have any relevance to this thread? The link posted wasn't bashing the LSD at all, just saying how the OLD ones need to be properly shimmed and have the axle "issue" but notice how no one in the entire thread bitched? bc they know they saved ~$500 and it will hold up just as well.

I took mine out of the box and put it in the transmission, been working just fine for going on 15,000 miles.
