Looking to Turbo my D16y7...first time booster...
Howdy gents! I own a 2000 hatch with a Y7 engine. I'm well versed in mechanics and I know how everything works (I'm a 63B (wheeled vehicle mechanic) in the military). I want someone to point me in the right direction for turbo'ing this vehicle.
I know that I want an intercooler and that I want an ecu for tuning. I also want to run stock internals on the motor and I will be getting an aftermarket clutch/flywheel.
Any help pointing me out in the right direction and this could turn into a build thread. Thanks for your time.

at the top of the FI section there is a sticky "FAQ"
read everything in that section and than come back here with any questions.
truly you shouldn't have many after that
another good link is the official sohc-t

Ok now I have a few more solid questions.
-Due to the fact that the cat is located in the exhaust manifold is relocating the O2 sensors going to be a big deal? I am going to have some kind of tuning equipment so I'm sure it can be negated.
-What turbo is best suited for the D for mild/moderate boost. I would prefer the boost to kick in fairly low in the rpms and stay up fairly long.
-Is aftermarket or DSM injectors necessary for 5 to 6psi on my engine?

not a problem. you will be doing a obd1 conversion with a p28 ecu and with the tuning software you will be able to edit any of that info that you might need to edit
-What turbo is best suited for the D for mild/moderate boost. I would prefer the boost to kick in fairly low in the rpms and stay up fairly long.
there are many different opinions on what is "best for sohc" i was building my kit on a t28 base

ya ya it sucks sad story... thanks in advance
-Is aftermarket or DSM injectors necessary for 5 to 6psi on my engine?
there are two options on injectors
saturated and peak/hold
factory are saturated so it's easier to replace them with the same
that way there is no need for a resistor box
keep a eye on my stolen car post because my kit will be up for sale more than likely </TD></TR></TABLE>
