Looking for the most streetable clutch with good pedal feel for just 250 lb. torque
yep, just like the topic states, i despise my Clutchnet stage 2 with a passion. It chatters in every gear, especially 1st, it squeaks when engaged low in the rpm band without a perfect rev-match, and the pedal feel is spongy. I'm looking for a clutch that can handle 250 lb. of torque, engages smoothe as stock, and has a nice pedal feel.

I thought I have heard good things about the clutchnet clutches but from what your saying they sound very rough.
I think the clutch masters and exedy too are said to be very nice pedal feel and engagement... which is reflected in the price from what I can find (someone point me in the right direction if I am mistaken).
Fair warning I have not bought any of them myself but am in wanting to also in the VERY near future. So hard to decide.

Action 2ks sounds perfect for you, it will handle 250 ft/lbs and from what i heard it has a very street friendly pedal.
Theres also the act hd rated to 240 ft/lbs, but maybe not the softest pedal feeling
Do a search under my name in FI, i made a thread with comparisons between act and action. It has some good info and may help you because i was looking for the same things.... soft pedal, and capable of around 250 ft/lbs
Although iv'e always ran an ACT clutch i think im gonna try out the action and see what all the comotion is about.

i don't mind a heavy pedal feel, i just want something consistent. the clutchnet pedal travel is terrible in my opinion. it's firm at first and then becomes very soft at the bottom. on the engagement, likewise, you get a snap-back of the pedal as the pressure gets firmer towards the top. So ACT HD/SS has a nice feel to it? what do Action and exedy clutches feel like?

I have a CENTERFORCE DUAL FRICTION PP Clutch said to hold up to 280tq and hp, it's very streetable, very soft and easy to daily drive + i got it cheap, other people say they suck, but i like it.

ok, both the action 2ks and ACT HDSS sound good now.... hmm.... are you saying the HDSS has a firmer clutch pedal than the 2ks?

Ive ran a Hd/ss and a xt/ss in my cars, but ive yet to try out the Action
The Hd isnt too bad at all, the xtreme is obviuosly stiffer, but its not the kinda of clutch you try to teach your girl to drive stick on
The action series from what i hear and seen searching honda-tech, has a nice engagement and a soft pedal feel. Everyone says it only takes inutes ot gettign used to. From people's reactions I imagine it to be slighty softer than the HD, with a little more ft/lbs in it. They are both in the same price range (about $400), but IMO I don't think you could go wrong with either one.
Again Ive never had or felt a Action 2ks personally, so I cant give you an exact comparison on pedal feel, but both clutches are very comparable IMO.

I had a 2MD (dual diaphram w/unsprung hub) and then a 1MS (single diaphram w/sprung hub). The 1MS has a pedal feel like stock, but it won't hold more than about 200 ft-lb of torque. The 2MD was a little stiffer, but it will meet your power needs.

What happen with the Tilton trend.......
There was a HUGE Tilton trend on the board, and everybody said it was DA BEST, but I have never tried it.

The best for one person may not be the best for another . The tilton is an outstanding product and supposed tobe the last clutch you buy, but its whats best for each individual setup.
In this case the tilton is overkill, and surely more then he was looking to spend.

I am pretty fond of the ACT HDSS. They engage like stock and have a nice medium pressure feel. They seem to last quite a while too if your not drag racing all the time. I beat the crap out of my last one, auto-x and lots of fast shifts, sold the car with it and it's still going strong 30k later

you don't need a tilton for 250 tq.
anyways, I love my ACT HD/SS. its rated to handle like 240tq or so and I ran it past that and it held nice. Pedal feel is stiff if ur going from stock to it, but after about 2 days it doesn't feel stiff at all anymore. The XT/SS is real nice too, handles alot more torque, but the pedal pressure is actually pretty stiff.
