Default Looking for Info: Precision SC6776 ,SC-6376E or SC-6369E

I would like to introduce myself, before asking for help . My name is Earl Harris and while not a honda owner, I am a big fan of all forced induction automobiles. Currently I own an '03 Twin Turbo 9 sec Z06 and a '98 Twin Turbo Viper GTS. The Vette runs a TTI Stage X Twin Turbo kit. I'm not sure of the hp but it makes enough to run high 9's at 144+ on pump gas/meth with my early breakin tune (engine change to LS7 all bore) and uses T3/T4 hybrid turbos. The units are rated at about 55-57lbs/min I believe. The Viper was just finished about 1 1/2 years ago. It uses 60-1 to4b t3/t4s and makes 800rwhp at ~ 9psi.

Now the question...the shop that did my turbo used t3/t4 hybrids due to packaging constraints. While not ideal for a 488ci motor, they are doing fairly well at 9-10psi. I think the 60-1/Stage 3 are rated at 57lb/min. I am looking to upgrade to either the SC6376 OR 6369 or the SC6776 (preferred) to give me a bit more room to grow. I spoke with precision about the sc63's and was told about the SC67 (67mm wheel in a to4e compressor housing) which is rated at 67lbs/min. I nor anyone in my circle have heard about either of these units, which brings me to this forum. If you want to know something...gotta go to the experts. Between the import crowd and the Buick Grand National crowd, you guys know more about turbocharging than anyone in the Vette/Viper world. I have used the search button but haven't been able to find anything. I am currently paging thru the last year of posts in the fi section. In the meantime, I thought I'd ask. Anyone use either of the aforementioned turbos? Comressor maps? Results (hp at what boost pressure), other observations? Thanks in advance for the help.

lol Say what's up to the Crab Man for me!!!!

The SC67 is the T3 version of the PT67, has a 66.5mm inducer and 84mm exducer , rated for 780hp in the PT6776 T4 version , dunno how much the T3 version is rated for depends on the turbine housing size, you can get the .63 A/R 5 bolt Ford style or even the .82 A/R 4 bolt Garrett housings. I would do the 76 trim turbine definately due to the size of the motor. The SC63 is not that good of a choice, the SC61 is actually a better and more efficient turbo and of course the 67 will produce the most power out of all these. Alot of the Supra guys have used the PT67 with success, it is also same as the T04R Garrett turbo. The 67mm wheel should flow flow: 75 lbs/min 960cfm

Hope this helps. Also if you need this turbo I am a distribitor for Precision as well Any other questions feel free to PM me or email me too terry@boostfed.com or even call (757)343-1123 I will provide as much info as I can

Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty sure I'll be going with the SC67-76. Its rated (by Precision) at 750hp. I'm assuming that is at a pretty high pressure ratio. I plan to run the units at a much lower pressure ratio...say 1.7 to 2.2/3 max). Any idea on how much efficiency/hp I lose by using it at the low of a pressure ratio on a 4.0L 5 cylinder (each side of the V10)?

Not that this is helpful in the slightest, but I have a PT6776RLE for my 3.4L DOHC V6. However, I haven't replaced my old turbo with it yet. The RLE means that it's the E compressor housing (3" inlet and 2" outlet) and the R means that it's dual ball bearing. I forget what the L means.

Welcome to H-T Earl, you'll find quite a lot of good info and fast cars on here, even if it is a Honda site I'm a fellow 'vette owner, I have an '02 Coupe with an iron block 408 with ETP heads that makes about 570 rwhp naturally aspirated and 735 rwhp on the first stage jetted for 175HP.

The SC6776 is a big T3/T4 turbo, but if you're looking for even bigger I believe Innovative will cut out a 1.06 A/R T3 housing to fit a Q-trim wheel, and if you really need to stick to a TO4E housing I believe they can cram as big as a 70mm wheel in there.

Now, THATS what I'm looking for. Any idea on hp rating and at what pressure ratio? I searched the innovative site and wasn't able to find it. Is this a "custom" unit? Any recommended vendors that might have addt'l info on this unit?
