Default log mani + turbo, too much weight for exhaust bolts???

i am getting ready to install my turbo. i have a BMC log manifold with a garrett t3/t04 and i am concerned with the weight and stress on the exhaust manifold bolts. has anyone had any problems? seems like the weight combined with the engine torque will pull them out of the head. maybe i'm paranoid.

I bet you haven't held a Fullrace manifold, or ones that use sch. piping? You are actually getting a weight reduction by going with a cast log manifold

Dont waste your time freaking out and welding up a brace. Hell if you are that paranoid, just get a set of ARP Manifold studs.

The studs on there are pretty beefy. I have never heard of an issue, although I had some concern too when I was first doing my install

Even if one does break (which I really don't think it will), they are cheap and easy to replace.

I've never even heard of anyone having a problem with exhaust bolts breaking, and I've been working on and turbo charging Hondas for almost 8 years.

I was the same way, when I picked up my inline pro, with the turbo, wastegate, dump tube and down pipe I was like DAMN! That is a LOT heavier than the header. But I had her on there with an open down pipe for just short of 2 yrs before she croaked. God, rest her soul......tear.
