Default Little off topic but important question.

We all have a pretty penny invested. I want to know if your insurance companies covers all your mods. I have reciepts for almost every part I have purchased. I want to know if your policy covers all your aftermarket parts and who you are insured with?

I believe that insurance companies only cover whats stock or "repaired" on your car. If you wanted to cover your modifications, you need to call them up and tell them you have them, then tell them you want to cover those modifications. It's up to you but it does put you in a higher braket. My friend did this on his GSX which is not concidered a sports car in insurance companies eyes. He went from paying a lower insurance to something more or less classified in the sports car range.

Even if you don't have them covered, if an insurance company finds out you've modified your car, it still bumps you into a higher bracket.

you can get an addendum to your insurance with most policies and "state" the value of your vehicle.

In Most cases an adjuster will come out to verify your claim and there will indubedubly be a premiums increase.

I am going to get an addendum in the spring, no point for it in the winter, car is safe ns ound in the ge-rage
