Limited boost on H22 Prelude
Would boost force the EGR Valve open and force air through the exhaust via the route in the cylinder head? Do you guys with boosted preludes normally block off the egr valve? Is there anything about the intake manifold for the H22A that would cause a pressure loss when boosting? I'm having great difficulty boosting over 10psi on my H22A. Fuel and timing is good. New turbonetics deltagate wastegate with a 3-5psi spring but using a blitz boost controller that's good for 18psi. Turbonetics T3/T04E .63ar turbo. Drag manifold and piping. Could it be my stock exhaust from the flex pipe to tail pipe choking the system? I'm using a 2.5" downpipe to the flex pipe. The car would reach about 8psi and max out at that point. Boost controller is working cuz I can adjust it from 3psi up. If I turn it up to all I only get 8 psi. I get a strong 20 inches of vacuum when idling. I'm wondering: Would the exhaust pressure force the wastegate 3-5psi spring open prematurely even though its used in conjunction with a boost controller? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Re: Limited boost on H22 Prelude (Quade)
Interesting... seems like my f22 has trouble getting to 10psi too. It'll get there, not very fast though. Although I do have .82a/r housing and only rev to 7k - which probably has more to do with it.
I think I'm gonna make a blockoff plate since my ECU doesn't even have support for an EGR. Have to test out pop's new plasma cutter anyway :-)
