Default Life expectancy of Twin Disc Clutches?????

Im just curious what the life span is of a twin disc on average....My car is gonna be daily driven 500 plus hp...and throwing down $1000 or more...i wanna be sure the clutch will last for a while...in the meantime im going to be using CLutch master stage 5...but i heard those go out pretty quick...thanks!

i have a Cluchmaster stage 5 also and i called the guys from clutchmasters.
because i ordered a stage 4 and got a stage 5 and because i had heared that the stage 5 will life not very long...

they told me that with "shorter lifetime" they don't mena the clutch itself... they want to say that things like gearbox and engine mounts will not life as long with a normal clutch...

i don't know how it is with 500whp because i only have 236whp at the moment... but i drive the clutch now for a few month without any problems...

and i think it is daily drivable very well...

Best regards
Malte.

Whats up Brandon,

With 500whp, I'd be more worried about the tranny than the clutch life. Dai had a Tilton Twin disc with no issues I believe. But I do believe he sent one tranny to the graveyard .

my tranny didn't go, my differential did. I am going to use the same tranny, I just have to get a quaife or something strong, stock diff sucks for that much power.

Regardless, Id be more worried of something in the tranny going out than the clutch .
