Default last attempt to figure out what to do w/ my car...

im pretty much ready to just get rid of my car. the guy that built it is no where to be found and it has some major problems (only have 800 miles on the fresh built motor). its a b18c. the car is buring oil like crazy and now it looks like it is losing coolant somewhere also (i put in a new radiator b/c mine was leaking and coolant level is still way down). compression test came up 160 180 160 180. the 2 bad cylinders came back up to 180 when i dropped a little bit of oil into each one. im assuming that means the rings are done (or installed wrong). ive also noticed a small oil leak from the block at where i guess the head gasket is.

car runs and idles fine but thows a ton of blue smoke on accel. would it leak oil from where the head and the bottom meet if it were a head gasket problem (i thought that was more of a coolant issue). i think the builder used a cometic hg but who knows. i cant pull the head b/c im not smart enough or have the right tools to do it. any suggestions before i just decide to get rid of it? thanks.

Damn man I feel for you I have the exact same issues and I only have about 50-75 miles on my build and it sucks. Can you see any oil on the top of the pistons when you look down the spark plug holes?

Well in my quest I have been told by a few people that know a hell of alot more than me that it could be a few things. The sleeve could have sank the person who built/tunes the car washed one or more cylinders with too much fuel and or the valve seals are bad.I also heard that the HG could be bad or even a hole in the piston or cracked ringlands.

you need to find a local reputable shop to take a look at it for you.

nobody in the area is able to do it i guess. the original builder sucks and the only other place in the area apparently isn't able to call me back to tell me if they can do anything. ive sunk so much into it so far that i really cant afford to pay someone to tear it apart again right now. im not too thrilled about having to tow it to orlando to have someone fix whatever is wrong. im just hoping the place that built it in the first place will take care of this (its been a month in a half since ive even heard from them so im prolly screwed anyways).

if oil made your compression go up, most likely your ringlands are bad.

Can you do a leakdown test also? Or find someone who can? This can help pinpoint a little better, like whether its the rings or bad valve seals.

Do yo have a chatch can setup or is your pcv stock?

Overheating or coolant in your oil would point to a sunken sleeve.

coolant is clean and it doesnt over heat, just always low on coolant. stock pvc. cant do a leakdown myself, but i guess ill try to find someone that can. if it were valve seals, wouldnt it just smoke at start up or after it has sat for a while?

valve seals will also leak during decel due to the amount of vacuum the motor is pulling.

Its now sounds like to me that your pcv is clogged and it will smoke like a james bond smokescreen when its completely clogged.

Pull it out, shake it, if it rattles your good. No rattle, bad. But also know that in boost the PCV will stay shut and not vent, bad for rings, gaskets, and seals.
