Default Kiwi manifolds? Are they good compared to others?

I know they look "bling bling" but can they really do what it's supposed to(pricewise)? I'm thinking either that or the Hytech....They cost about the same. Anyone have good dyno charts using the kiwi? Is tere a number where I can reach them?

I would have dynoed my car a couple weeks ago but I am still waiting for my parts to arrive. That canadian dingleberry named JAKER from Hybrid forum is the biggest piece of **** to ever stink up the planet. No tracking number, no insurance, responds with a new lie in every email or IM and thinks I should accept his BS apology after I have already WASTED $350 on a damn rent-a-wreck! I was expecting to use the rent-a-wreck for atleast 1 week but this two extra weeks is bullshit. Never ever tell a person that you forgot to send a part because you forgot about it and then didn't get a tracking number for a package that is being shipped internationally.... grrr... rant off! Damn, I need some fresh air now!

Anyway, I added two stainless steel braces that connect the turbine flange to the header flange so I shouldn't have to worry about cracking unless I wreck my car. I did have two problems: I had to port the welds on the inside because they would have caused hotspots if left untouched and I had to use a little shad-tree mechanic engineering on the two middle studs and nuts since it was a TIGHT fit.

How much is it? I'm looking for a Manifold soon and it was gonna be a SFP Mani, but I might do a Hi-Tech if the price isnt that much more.

I wish SMSP would start making turbo Manifolds.

I thought it was only around $1300 oh well. Hytech manifolds are a far cry from the SFP manifold. John really knows what he is doing. You get what you pay for. I have never heard of a Hytech manifold cracking. I would get one but dont even have close to that kind of loot to spend on a manifold.

Kiwi and hytech are two seperate companys making two different manifolds. Both are very good equal length manifolds, but the hytech one it a little better from what I have heard.

too lazy to link them up.

as far as I know, kiwi doesn't have a website or phone number; Lawrence works from home.

what about jg(jg? or jd?) edelbrock and skunk 2, i know they make turbo/nitrous manifolds for b series, but i dont know about the h series, i need to find a manifold for my prelude so i can pick out everything else....

Those companies make intake manifolds. The discussion here is about exhaust manifolds.

people were also talking about intake manifolds if you take time to scroll up. i wasnt aware the thread starter said anything about exhaust manifolds, or said "exhaust manifolds only"

[Modified by blackomega, 4:32 AM 4/4/2002]

ummmmmmmmmm...ok...maybe you should go ahead and scroll up and quote the post about intake manifolds. Once again, you are mistaken sir.

I was just trying to clarify, but you go ahead and buy yourself a KIWI manifold and fab it up to the intake side. Good luck, tell us how it works.

nobody mentioned an intake mani and everybody KNOWS that the Kiwi is an exhaust mani. If you would like to talk about intake mani's please do a search or scan the first couple of pages because you will find plenty of intake mani threads.

Look at the picture! Is that an intake or exhaust mani?

the pictures didnt show up on my computer, and i was told that kiwi makes intake manifolds as well. when someone said they were wondering about a turbo manifold, i assumed an intake manifold
For future reference when people on this board talk about turbo manifolds it is ALWAYS about exhaust manifolds with some sort of flange to connect a turbo to. When people on this board talk about intake manifolds it is ALWAYS about intake manifolds. imagine that.

i dont even know why im arguing with you because the companies that i mentioned both make exhaust manifolds?? and that was what i was talking about
ok, buddy go get yourself a jd edelbrock nitrous exhaust manifold. Don't forget your skunk 2 DP

Now stop posting stupidity before you get this thread locked.

Oh yeah, if you were wondering what a DP is, on this board people refer to downpipes as DPs, they come in different sizes, all agree that a flex pipe is necessary and just for clarification it is the pipe that connects to the exhaust housing of the turbo. Not to be confused with the intercooler or intercooler piping.
