I know I'm not tuned yet, but my performance yesterday left me quite disappointed.

On the highway from about a 30-80 pull the C5 Vette (not Z06 of course) easily pulled away from me....and quite quickly too. I don't know about 1/4 mile performance, but I know turbos are pretty nice in the "passing range."

What gives? Can you 10psi guys do it? I will eventually turn it up once tuned, but still....I thought 10psi would be better. I even had a tough time against an S2K with an exhaust.

Damn tuning.

Get your car tuned. When I was at 7psi I would walk a c5 from a punch. From 60-120 I would have him by 6-8 cars. I have only raced 1 since I turned the boost up to 11psi and he got my out of the hole by 3 cars and I beat him by 6 cars. That one was a auto and I'm not sure about the others on the highway.

Have you been on the dyno? You definitely need tuning if you're @ 10psi and can barely take an S2k. What are your mods again?

A C5 with exhaust and filter will walk you to thru the 1/4 - they run 12.50 and up.
A Z06 even the first year with the problems will brutalize you out of the bucket and take you the whole way, the new ones with some exhaust work and intake will do high 11's

2002 Z06 on Spray....11.70s all day long. No other mods...Street Tires.

Umnmm.... C5s are pretty tough if you don't beat them before 100mph.

I have a boosted GSR and I was doing 11 pounds (10:1 compression) and a C5 pulled on me by 2 cars at 100mph. He stopped pulling at 115+ mph. This was a stock C5 btw.

Remember V8s have unlimited top end power and require less work. Also C5s (LS1) have 10:1 compression while the Z06 (LS6) has 10.6:1.

Incidentally, I also messed around with a Z06 with free flowing exhaust. Not only I went deaf, but he made my turbo GSR feel like a geo metro.

I want revenge now, since I am getting a Hondata/550cc and forged pistons/rods... muhhahaha

With street tires, rtype11, or slicks? 11s sound too low to me for street tires.

Yeah, I've seen Z06's run 13's many times at the track becaeu of traction problem, I know could def be the drive, but I've seen them smoking tires into 3rd gear.

BFG's drag radial, come up here and watch em go every night, these things launch sick - stock Z06 will pull a 1.5 -6 short time.

You shouldn't feel bad, because on the highway those Vettes really motor. Thats where those cars don't play around. My buddies got one and i have taken out for a ride, and top end you shouldn't be anywhere close. No offense bro but on the highway that car is outta your element. They are geared for highway to compete with exotic cars. Our cars flaten out in 5th where theres pulls like a bastard

Hybrid901- There is no way you would pull away from a Vette by 6 to 8 cars if your running 12.7 @ 107mph. If your that far ahead of him that means your car is running mid elevens in street trim. I am figuring you used some sort of sticky tire to achieve those numbers in your sig, and stock Vettes do that on radial tires. Not trying to flame you bro but thats impossible. That guy was obviously not racing.
