Kinda off topic but FI related
Okay I plan on going to the "darkside" for the summer. I will rebuild the engine, standalone and all the neccesities. It's a Accord and I know running at about 15 psi of boost should give me some good numbers. Now heres is the the problem they are some what I believe are overcofident maxima people. They first said that a Maxima with the basic boltons would take me. I said "I don't think so" They they said that a Maxima with the supercharger boosting and is putting out 384 to the wheels. I highly doubt that if the engine isn't even rebuilt it can be putting out 384 to the wheels. The most boost you can run is about 14 psi properly controlled. The maxima does not come from the factory with forged pistons. This is a car that came form the factory with about 225 at the flywheel. I said that 1. I have a lighter car. 2. My turbo run on race gas (I got a connection) at about 15 to 18 psi with a standalone shoud be quicker than a superchargered non rebuilt engine Maxima. I can't wait till summer. Do I make sense? Do you need more specs on my plans to make sense? Or am I just crazy?

Try 284 whp. Thats about how much a supercharged 2000 Maxima will put down. So, with a fully built motor, a nice sized turbo and 15 psi of boost you should have no problem taking out that pseky Nissan. but the best way to find out is to race. Later!
