Kakimoto or Thermal
Well my Greddy EVO exhaust just went... I need a new exhaust for my 1999 Integra GSR w/ Greddy Turbo. I was wondering which one should I get and would I need to purchase an aftermarket cat for either one of these exhausts?

Re: Kakimoto or Thermal (88CRXHybrid)
I just picked up a new Kakimoto-R 3" exhaust the other day. It looks real nice, tip looks nicer than the thermal too, and it looks like its not as wide too.

Where can you buy the Kakimoto exhaust?
And...
Did it unbolt itself from your car and walk away? j/k
What exactly do you mean?

Greddy EVO exhaust just went... meaning the interior of the canister just cracked open and soon it'll start to rattle.
I know for the thermal 3" exhaust I'll need to get a aftermarket cat, but for the kakimoto 3" exhaust will it just bolt on to my stock cat?
and which one will perform better for a turbo car running 8psi?

I can get you guys the Kakimoto Racing exhaust. Kakimoto Racing is a well known exhaust company in Japan. The are very famous in the Skyline, EVO, and WRX market.
They have the Kakimoto R exhaust for the ITR, which have the 70mm piping. The actual meausrement is 63mm ID at the cat flange and 67mm ID the rest of the piping!!
And NO, it doesn't bolt up directly on the stock cat for two reason.
1) It has a JDM b-pipe length (JDM cat is shorter).
2) It is design for JDM cat, which has a larger collector than the USDM cat.
But I figure whoever want to run this exhaust should have at least a aftermarket cat or test pipe to go with their Turbo, Supercharge, or 2.5" collector header. So this should be a big problem.

Re: Kakimoto or Thermal (mafay2)
if they are both 3" straight through, i'd just get whatever is cheaper. they will probably both give the same gains

Re: Kakimoto or Thermal (mafay2)
Thanks for the info guys... I think I'm getting the Kakimoto R 70mm piping catback exhaust.
mafay2: I just emailed you about the bolt on issue. Let me know about the pricing shipped to MA as well.
