Just purchased my turbo and picked it up today (T04E)
So its a brand new garret. T3 T04E 57 Trim .63AR on the hot side and .50 on the compressor.. How would this do on a LS? I tried searching but yeah.. couldnt really find and specifics on "57 trim .63AR" The motor will be relatively stock until i build it up. If anyone has experience with it on a LS, when do you get full spool? I'll post pics tommorrow.. Thanks for any help!

.63 turbine is a decent size, i wouldn't get your hopes up for real fast spoolup depending on the amount of boost you run..but once it does you won't be disappointed im sure

Like the others said the spool up time is pretty long buuut once it does it rips. i had that turbo in a dsm (yeah i know) back in the day and once i got the motor somewhat built and dialed in properly that car ran great.

if its makin full boost at 4000 thats pretty quick spooling in my book. I think you will find that, that turbo will suit your needs quite nicely. Post pics when you get it up and running.

350WHP is my goal... But currently my LS is stock.. I've been getting mixed responses on how it will perform... Some say the .63 on the hotside is too big... I'm freakin stressed out now worrying if i should keep this turbine or not.. any more input?

chill out man, it will be fine.
I'm using a precision SC50 on my stock ls, and I get full boost by 4000rpm. It rips.
specs on the turbo are: .63 a/r exhaust side, 50 trim .60 on the compressor.

Wow how much of boost cause that's pretty good spool up.

Re: Just purchased my turbo and picked it up today (Sulli)
go to 23lb on the air flow at the bottom and follow up to 1.7 at the pressure ratio on the left if you want to run 10psi. that point is theoretically the max airflow an ls will need at 85% volumetric efficiency (realistically 80-90%), at 10psi, at 7,000rpm. you are good to go being right in the max effiency range of 78%. in the lower rpms the efficiency falls off, but this is a good map in that it seems to mostly fall off into 72%, whereas others drop off dramatically into the 60's or less.
ideally you want to cover more of the max efficiency range, but you're good to go especially when you upgrade internals. i think the .63 exhaust is a decent compromise for immediate and future use. hopefully youll be @10psi by 4500rpm(?).
