just picked up 2nd honda for turbo build
ok so i picked up a halfway decent ef hatchback to become a project car since my DA is done and more of a show car.. so after browsing speedfactorys website. ive settled on a ramhorn manifold and garret t3/t4 ball bearing 60 trim turbo. go autoworks makes a nice welded charge pipe set. im planning on picking up the oil line, bov, wastegate, boost controller, intercooler, downpipe from speedfactory also..
but heres my dilemna i have a almost complete and built ls vtec long block in garage, but since my DA is already a b18c1 i was kind of wanting to do a SOHC vitara build...
so im not sure which motor to build up for turbo.. i see alot of b series turbo builds that are too extensive compared to some d series builds that are half the parts and the same horsepower..
what do you guys recommend?? d16z6 or LS/vtec.

You can build a B series mildly and still put down power. The D will work but the B will dominate. I have a piston/rod GSR motor with valve spring upgrades and thats it. Putting down 430whp on pump gas
