Default Just installed Rev Hard Kit: Not feeling quicker.

Ok. I'm confused.

I just installed a Rev Hard kit on my gsr and it doesn't feel any faster.

SC34 .63 A/R

I triple checked all of my lines.

I did just find out that my inline pump is not grounded properly, so that might be the problem.

I hear it spool, I hear the bov, I can feel a little power when boost is made,

But not any faster than stock!...

What could it be? PLEASE someone help...

First thing you need to do is take it to a professional that knows what they are doing!!!
Your proly running VERY lean and need fuel! The inline fuel pump would be a good to have working..
Ah... It could be tons of little things!
TAKE IT TO SOMEONE ELCE IF YOU ARE NOT COMPETENT!

:EDIT: I cant spell

Sounds like you have a leak somewhere, big, and you could be running lean. Check w/ a professional installer, (Go over everything you did with them) and have them diagnose what's up...

Because it sounds to me like he does not know what he is doing
Therefore should have a professional look at it for him

As a hart attack!
Lets try to save this guy a motor! But really... I am sure he was running lean from lack of fuel since the fuel pump needs to be grounded in order to work ::DUH::

Just be like Sherlock Holmes and investigate it.

Gotta learn somewhere, sometime, why not now. IMO

Well, let me start. If you say that the ground is not properly grounded then that is a big problem so fix that.

Second, check your I/C pipes to make sure the connections are tight.

U using anything other then the FMU that it comes with for Fuel??

If the motor is running lean the your temps should go up...did it go up??

Worst comes to worst ask your buddy to help to solve the problem. 2 heads is always better then one.

#1: Get a boost gauge.

#2: I think you forgot to install the fire ring on the waste gate, so you're not seeing any boost.

You will still hear the bov if you're not boosting, as long as you get enough load driving you will hear it. And the "spool" you are refering to is probably the waste gate bleeding off all the exhaust.

Check it out.

Ok... so I fixed the inline pump, it has that buzzing noise now, so its working.

Heres some of the setup:

sc34 .63 a/r
vortech bov
tial wg @ .5 bar
vortech 12:1 fmu

I plugged the hole on the compressor since im not running my wg line off of that.

The bov and the wg vacuum lines are being run off the brake booster line; I peiced together a vacuum manifold from mcmaster carr.

the fmu is tee'd off of the fpr line.

and I def. installed the ring on the wg.

my one big mistake was not getting a boost gauge before the install but, ones coming on monday.

any other suggestions on what it could be?

thanks for all your input

I would recommend to you that you use the nipple off the turbo and connect that to your wastegate.

why is that?

I've heard that running it off of the manifold vacuum source gives better accuracy.

can you explain?
