Default just installed greddy turbo last night

ok my car is a 99 GSR with about 80k on the clock . i pieced together a kit and for now planned to runa FMU and a FPR.. so we installed the greddy turbo and downpipe and manifold.. we picked up some oil lines from local hardwara store.same with the fittings. they work pretty good..so we crank it up and start it..it reved nasty like jus jumpin from 1000 to 1200 rpm's.... i have a missing link in there but for somereason its not doing what its suppose to do.. it keeps on makin my car die.... i have to heel and toe just to drive it around.....

first question is someone told me to adjust my idle a lil higher so i can get the missing link to work.... is that what i do???

second question ... car is running hella rich but we richened it up cuz i had to drive home last night..but if i WOT it then the fuel leans out to about 15-16 but if i press the pedal in slower it runs around 14 ... when im not it boost its running at about 11-12 air fuel ratio... im thinkin about swappin my injectoers with the ones on my friends H22 would that work????

regardless of that damn that thing pulls on 7 psi for a stock GSR

Dont use your friends Prelude injectors, you need bigger ones then that. I wouldn't recommend boosting anymore until you get more fuel, either. And you need to retard timing.

how would i wreck it??? i mean its suppose to be safe with a FMU up to 7 psi im only runnin like 4.5... i mean injectors jus help cuz i seen them on a diff car and also they almost the same as the RC ones that come with the greddy kit

anybody have input on injectors?
cal pulls hard as hell n im lovin it leans out to where the A/F goes to 15 or 16 at like above 6k RPM.. under that it stays at about 11-13.5

get rid of those injectors and use your stock injectors
your stock ecu will not read those injectors and will rich out your car and boggs.
if your using fmu set up you will need a inline/msd fuel pump to make the fmu work right.
retard your ignition, to be safe.
set your fpr to around 40 (stock specs)

seems to me as if u have a wideband..
if you do, just chip your ecu and make a basemap for bigger injectors (bigger injectors required) wide band tune it from there with a datalogger, i prefer ecu using crome/uberdata. your car will idle like stock, just as if ur car was a stock turbo car and get a walbro fuel pump

DUDE stop doing that! If you know its leaning out that much underboost, dont keep doing it, like someone said earier your going to break the damn motor.

People wonder why their **** blows so fast Oh and get rid of the shitty fmu

learn to take advice and not filter only the stuff you want to hear. put back the OEM injectors. and your AF should be in the 12:1 to 12.5:1 range. 15-16 = death.

That sound you hear under boost is your ringlands shrieking in terror. 16:1 AF at that RPM under boost is a disaster in waiting. At least get an OB! ecu/convo harness and chip it. 4-500 $ is cheaper than building your motor when it says "bye".

Good luck
