dude, you dont wanna bolt your dp to your engine....at least not a hard mount, if you do it use a rubber mount....or else you can crack stuff. it needs room to expand.

I paid way too much for it. I got the work done at R and J custom exhaust in Apex, NC. They did a really good job and the guy there was working on it for a day and a half (I know b/c I was there for some of the time), so labor was around $1000, parts were $700. I did also get a full 3" exhaust though so that contributed to the price. The closed loop set-up took a long time and the intercooler piping isn't that easy in a prelude, plus I got him to do a couple other little things. Overall, it was a lot more than I planned on spending but everything was done well and to my specifications, so I guess I am happy. If you want to pay for it, I highly recommend the shop.

Should I cut off this mount then? I guess I will look at the mount under the car tomorrow and see how it is attached. And Markaccord95, you're right, SFP , but I got a H23.

Here are some better pics of the closed loop set-up too if you're interested.

intercooler piping
looks good but the only minor flaw that would bother me is the lower intercooler pipe in the pic,i dont like the angle of the 1st bend in it,where its spliced and welded together.

Well, how much did that welder cost? j/k. I really want to learn how to weld, but I just live in an apartment right now so I don't really have a place to work. Your downpipe looks good though, I like it.

I'm sorry, this topic may have already been covered but I couldn't find it in the search. Are they any advantages in running a closed loop setup as opposed to an open loop setup. The only thing I can think of noise of the wastegate dumping out excess. The reason I'm asking is because I'm about to purchase one of Art's 3" dp's used from Chris (Strng1dah) and I'm pretty sure it is an open loop dp.

Yeah, closed loop just makes it quieter.

He has a flex pipe. I had my setup exactly like that. That mount SAVED my manifold and turbo.
I was involved in a bad accident and manifold and turbo were actually saved because of that mount on the engine!
The mount took most of the impact from the curb I hit. The downpipe was crushed but the manifold and turbo were perfect.

My setup was exactly like his. A mount on the eninge (just like stock) and flexpipe aftewards. I highly recomend this setup.

I know from my EXPERIENCE it saved my turbo kit.

Hey SilverLudeSi, I'm the guy that came to the shop with the black Honda Challenge Integra. You couldn't have picked a better guy to do that kind of fabrication work - Robert is excellent and he really takes care of his customers.

Yeah, I am really happy with the job he did. I found out about him because Chris Brinson, who I assume you would know, got his exhaust for his prelude done there. It's funny b/c I was at krause and england getting an allignment last week and chris pulled up with his honda challenge integra on a trailer. It felt like deja-vu when I saw you pull up at R and J with your integra.

I'll be damned. I guess we're everywhere! Brinson actually lives like 5 minutes from me and I shared the track with him this past weekend. He did really well buying that car, it's good. And FWIW, K&E is another top notch operation. Pricey sometimes but you'll know things got done right.

Sorry to take this off topic everyone, too big a coincidence to ignore.
