Just finished my DIY obd0 to 0bd1 link wire
Just finished my DIY obd0 to 0bd1 link wire and it only cost me £25 (thats $37.50).

I would like to know what pins do you jump on an obd1 ecu to get the cel light to flash?

Sweet! I just did my obd1 - obd2b conversion harness for 40 bucks. I want to know what wire to jump too please.

Damn man, you have more patience than I! Looks good and DIY cant be beat, till your braklights turn on your headlights and your door buzzer and your blinker turns on your CEL and activates vtec and opens your sunroof. just kiddin man. good work!

You should jump your service connector - the same plug that you jump whenever you set your timing. I know on '88-'89 USDM cars it's underneath the hood, on the driver's side, in front of the shock tower and it has a yellow rubber cap on it. On '90-'91 USDM cars it's usually located underneath the dash on the passenger side near the right kickpanel and it's blue in colour.

you can use a toggle switch to get the codes to flash....
d4 (brown wire) to toggle switch then to ground....
all your doing is grounding d4 to get the ecu to flash the codes when you have a check engine light...
your harness looks good ...they get eaiser the more you do...

also when ya do this, can u still use the non obd dist. or does the dist. have to be an obdI distributer?

Has to be OBDI or OBDII. Just remember to match the distributor plug with the distributor model year you're buying OBDI won't plug in to OBDII but if repinned it will work fine, etc.

Just got to do the pin swaping on the dizzy plugs and fit the dizzy, O2 sensor and ecu (P28-g51) and i'll see if it works.
With any luck and with the amount of research i've done it should go well and to plan.
And then i'll do a new post with all the info i learned on the way.
Like that i think you don't have to add wires from the ecu for the O2 heater if you are using a obd0 that has two O2 sensors like pwo, use the wire for O2-A for the reading and the wire for O2-B as the heater and then just run the two grounds back ground be it on the engine or on the ecu.
Also I'm going to show you the pinouts I used cos I don't want to make money out of this, I just want to make it beter for others to do.
Why pay $100+ for it when you can do it just as good for less.
The price for honda parts are high so lets make modding costs low

when I got the ecu and dizzy I cut the loom (that left me with obd1 plugs and wires) and then got a obd0 ecu and desoldered the plugs from the board.
All in all to do it it's cost me £65 ($97.50 your money), and thats the two ecu's wires and plugs and the dizzy.

i am 100% agree with you
i understand some people are just exploding the resources out of it.. i understand is some sort of bussiness... but by know, it should be more cheaper.... this is a tech site... that is and should be covered
and specially for all of us technically inclined and can do it should know... then leave the newbies that dont know **** and shouldnt even try to buy them ....

I just cut off my old injectors and soldered the new OBDI plugs onto the old wires. I should've made a harness, though... but it saved me a coupla bucks

All of the pin outs for obd0-obd1 or obd1-obd2 or vice versa can be found on http://www.pgmfi.org . I got the plugs from ebay, and the socket from my stock obd2b civic ecu. Also, if you do an obd0 -> obd1 conversion, you are using obd0 engine with obd0 distributor and using an obd1 ecu. It just keeps you from changing the distributor, or changing the wiring, etc. etc. .

thats what I got told by Hondata.
obd1 ecu will run with obd0 dizzy but in safe mode and like ****.

Ya, it might run, but it will definitely run horribly. You need to match OBD0 distribs with OBD0 ECUs, and OBDI/II distribs with ODBI/II ECUs.
