Just finished installing my turbo for the first time, now i have some questions.
Here is some specs of my car and set up.
93 Civic coupe with 94 GSR swap (all stock)
T3/T4 A/R .60 intake and A/R .63 exhaust.
Fast-Turbo oil lines and return lines
Max Rev manifold
DeltaGate Wastegate (7psi spring)
2.5 to 3inch flare DP
Greddy Type S BOV
Trust Intercooler
DSM 450 injectors (not installed yet, waiting for fuel pump)
VAFC (stock settings)
Ok now heres my question. I just installed the turbo and everything went fine, pipping was all matched up and everything. I hooked up my BOV vacuum line up to the firewall map sensor line and same with my Autometer gauge. Then i hooked up my Wastegate to a piece infront of the compressor.
Ok now, when i drive i dont here the turbo spooling, and when i let go theres no BOV activatity. Now my boost gauge reads 15 vacuum on idle and when i WOT it read 5 vacuum.
Now my question is why wouldnt my turbo be spooling? There plenty of oil going into it. Before i installed the turbo i put some air from my compressor into the manifold and it moved the exhaust and intake so i dont think the fins are messed up or anything.
Also is my vacuum reading right? On the VAFC the PRES. is reading -600mmHG on idle and -300mmHG (give or take 50) at WOT, is that right?
Any help would be great, thanks in advanced.

I had the same problem when i first installed my turbo on my car....try to rerun the wastegate tubing into the intake manifold...you are not getting enough vacuum @ the compressor location. When I had the same problem...it took like forever for the turbo to spool up.

Run your vacuum lines from the tube that goes from you FPR {fuel pressure reg} to the inlet manifold.. See if you get a better vacuum reading.

So the vacuum could be the problem? hmm.... that would make sense now that i think of it because i tried another location before and it was crappier then before. First thing tomorrow morning ill change it to the FPR location.
Also can someone show me pics of a correctly done check valve set up? I dont know how to get mine on there correctly, thanks.

I've got my vaccuum lines from the compressor housing to the wastegate and I'm not having any trouble with it
This was my first install and everything went right the 1st time

Yea i saw that pic and read that site, it says to hammer it in but i want to see one actually put together with the map sensor on and everything, on the car.

Ok vacuum idea didnt work. I hooked my vacuums to the FPR and still nothing, i think the wastegate still works because i see it spitting things out (no dumptube).
Would a crack in the intercooler pipping really make it not spool?

As of right now when i changed everything im sitting, because i was looking for a oil leak. I couldnt hook up my Boost gauge when i moved the vacuum lines because i ran out of T fittings to put it on the FPR, so when i switch that i would get you a new count on the vacum side. I dont think theres a vacum leak thats why i said all that

Load = boost then? What about blowing off just to test if that works? because i would hate to have to go out to the street where its 40mph limit blow off then drive home. (sometimes i wish i owned a dyno ::shurgs:

Holy **** you have no idea how big my smile is right now. Holy **** is that thing sexy, but also scary because it felt like it wouldnt stop pulling.
But now i have some other problems (well i dont think there problems but hope for the best expect the worst you know?)
Ok when i started the car the vacum was at about 8 on my gauge and -530 to -550mmHG. Then when it warmed up the gauge went to about 10 but the VAFC stays the same.
At WOT it went to about 1psi and then that was it (i didnt look at the VAFC because of where its located.) It wouldnt go anywhere passed 1psi on the gauge. Also i think i heard a BOV sound but it was very faint, i think my BOV is tighten to tight but what sucks is that i dont have a tool to adjust it. (Question) Would adjusting the BOV make a difference to the performance of the turbo?
I think my gauge is broken also because when i turned off the car it stayed at like 3psi on the vacum side, and i dont think its suppose to do that.
Thanks for the help so far guys, im about to do another run now

Re: (Luserkid)
Ok more updates. Ive been driving around with no problems thus far, just that i wont boost over 3psi, which is ok for me because that **** is fast as hell. But i am wondering why i wont go over 3psi when i have a 7 psi spring WG. Just wondering if that will cause me any problems.
