Default Just finished first turbo install have a few q's

Ok so i got everthing up and running today and went for a test drive (open dp).. it built boost, wastegated properly , and blew off like its supposed to... I have a pretuned ecu that i am running until i get it really tuned.. my question is.... I drove it to my mechanics house cause i wanted to use his digital timing light to try and set my ignition timing to 13 or 14 degrees just to be on the safe side.. Hooked up the light and it says my timing is at 10.3?? The dizzy is in the middle and i havnt fucked with anything timing related... before i installed the turbo (took about a month all together) it was at stock spec 16 degrees.. Im stumped why it would give me this reading and its a new 400 dollar top of the line timing gun... motor runs pretty decent so its not like it jumped a tooth or anything... anyone have any ideas?

You didn't even mention what motor you have.

OH yeah my fault... b18b in a 92 dx hatch with 450 dsm's.. but what would the motor have to do with my timing problem? arnt all d/b series motors set for 16 degrees?

not sure, but mentioning your setup helps to diagnose the problem

Did you check the timing before turbo install w/ a timing light?
