Thats seems low for that boost level from the 3431.
That same turbo on my friends stock GSR made 280whp/190ft-lbs @10psi
Please post your dyno graph.

Im not sure. Your peak torque at 9.8psi seems consistent with my friend's GSR at the same boost - yours is actually a little higher. Does your torque fall off hard after peak torque? The difference must be in the top end/rpm. I want to see that dyno graph.

Dynopak actually read high. Mustang dynos read low if im not mystaken.

Why not slap a vtec head on and get your gains there.
Swapping cams and manifolds would probably equal the same money invested.

something is choking you up big time. that turbo isnt really small enough to fall on its face that hard on the top end. do you have the boost plot as well? the torque curve should hold a little better than that, even on an LS

I said 260 with a t28 @9psi, not 280 on a t25@10

Anyways, here it is

(Dyno file says 10psi run since I had a 10psi spring but it only ran 9)

Is that internally or externally gated? You sure the boost is staying consistent?

Yes check logs for MAP pressure. I bet it tapers hard after 5.5k. What kind of air filter are you running?

Denracho viper is running a different motor than us so dont think something is terribly wrong, of course he is going to put more HP and TQ down at the same PSI levels hes running a 2.2 liter vtec most likely. obviously smaller turbo (T28) as stated but correct me if im wrong Muck i may be talking out of my *** here.

That's true, I wouldn't expect an ls to make h22 power on the same setup. But if my much larger engine can breathe that well through a much smaller turbo, he should be
Carrying torque MUCH better than he is. Boost pressure has to be tapering off somehow

I just think this shows how important a great flowing cylinder head like a GSR/b16/ITR is when running a quality turbo kit, the STOCK LS head just flat out lacks breath past 5500 and both our graphs show it, although i will agree his numbers are kinda on the low side at 9.8 PSI. Not saying a built LS head cant make power past 5500 but when it comes to STOCK LS head its just not there. ill be saving up for a vtec head and rebuild my block becasue i already want to make more power damn boost bug.

Those are some impressive numbers for a stock ls gotta love that TQ the ls stroke provides. Gives me lots of hope. Thanks for letting the links speak for themselves.

I ran into a valve float problem when making more than 13 psi through a stock Ls head using a PTE 6262. Power would nose dive from 6300 rpm on. Installed a set of valve springs, even with the stock cams, and it allowed the engine to hit 7500 rpm without it falling off.

Possibly a similar experience here causing it to loss power on the top? My machinist and I determined the stock Ls valve springs don't have enough seat pressure to keep the intake valves close after 12 psi. Perhaps we just had the oldest, most abused valve springs to begin with ?

Doesnt sound crazy. The springs arent very strong.

Cams help a ton with LS heads. Ask me how I know
