just drove home with my car turbo'd, but....
along the way home, the transmission suddenly popped out of fifth gear! (i had a exedy organice clutch installed along with my RH kit). this happened several more times so finally i had to drive in fourth gear all the way home. i had my blown engine rebuilt with stock pistons so i have to break the car in again.
then further along the road, i got a CEL and i haven't found out which one it is yet.
so far this turbo experience hasn't been very pleasant... can anyone tell me why 5th gear is not sticking? thanks.
also, my egt hits about 600 C, is that high? and fuel pressure is at 2.5 kg/cm3. this is all under normal driving, no boost, going about 45 mph @ 3500rpm.

Your EGT is fine.. you probably blew your tranny the same time you blew your motor. I would replace the tranny and get a LSD while you're at it (if funds allow).

all the other gears work fine though...i don't have any money left after this turbo so i'd rather not think the whole transmission is shot. i'm going to inspect the shifter cable tomorrow.
so you know where i can buy a filter and pipe to connect to turbo cheap? the RH kit didn't come with one. thanks.

fabricate your own with 3" exhaust piping repair kit.. if not, get some heavy duty flex pipe at Home Depot and bend it the way you want. A K&N filter is only like $40. (real K&N)
