Just curious what standalone everyone recomends.
Just curious what standalone everyone recomends. I am going to be getting one and just wonder which is most perfered. My car will have a built motor and I plan on boosting as much as I can.

My friend has AEM in his hatch and it is Nice. They even have forums where you can swap configurations if you have similar setups. Probably not the best choise though for the average joe.

Ouch...I know more then one person who have received those units for free and give them away as they dont work well at all. Ive also heard horrior stories of how you call their tech lines and they dont even know about their own systems and you have to explain how it works to them.

Autronic if you dont have the cash for Motec
Otherwise another great aussie ECU, TSI, which is basically like Hondata except i think it can be used with OBD2 ecu's

They have piggyback and standalone plug-in units for a lot of cars, including Hondas. Link is famous in the turbocharged miata world..
