My friend has AEM in his hatch and it is Nice. They even have forums where you can swap configurations if you have similar setups. Probably not the best choise though for the average joe.

I have heard lots of stories about AEM problems.

I am not knocking it, just saying its not as user friendly as Hondata.

Ouch...I know more then one person who have received those units for free and give them away as they dont work well at all. Ive also heard horrior stories of how you call their tech lines and they dont even know about their own systems and you have to explain how it works to them.

Autronic if you dont have the cash for Motec

Otherwise another great aussie ECU, TSI, which is basically like Hondata except i think it can be used with OBD2 ecu's

Link

They have piggyback and standalone plug-in units for a lot of cars, including Hondas. Link is famous in the turbocharged miata world..

http://www.link-electro-usa.com

more details of the Honda Link ECUs can be found here:
http://www.maxboost.net/defaul...ca555

here's a pic of my ECU

I forgot to mention... Link ECUs are cheap (they're made in New Zealand). Cheaper than a full-blown hondata system, with features comparable to that of a Motec M4/M800..
