Haha, you should start reading up on turbo's and such. Are you planning to install it yourself? I think that you better take it to a shop and get it done because everything might get overwhelming...

i had that same turbo on my z6 and it was WAY too small... im talking spool up at 1800, 8 lbs at 2300, and its starts falling on its face around 5500. i picked my complete one up for 40 and thats the only reason i used it, i would never put it on a honda again, maybe a 3 cyl metro

WOW! That thing is a MESS! ! !

That is one FUNNY post! LOL! ! !

I also love how some people thought this guy might have been serious as he's posting up pictures of a turbo that must have been broken in half in a crash or something. Hah hah. . . I might have spent $20 on that thing just for the opportunity to post like the OP did. Made my day!

Thanks!

And how do you know he's not posting this seriously? Thats your assumption? or are you his buddy-o-pal?

Take another look at the picture. Look closely at the condition of the turbine wheel, and the center housing, and THEN tell me that you think he's being serious.

If he really is serious at that point, I'm just going to give him the benefit of the doubt anyway because it is just too absurd. What it boils down to is that I'm too embarassed on behalf of anyone who might think that turbo is still useable to not give him the benefit of the doubt that he's joking.

Is it okay with you if I'm just being decent to the guy, or is it mandatory to be a dick?

Thad

Not like it matters, but there's no exhaust housing on it either.

I'm all about ghetto turbo builds, but DAMN! Cut your losses and just throw it away. Are you on homemadeturbo.com yet?

it really is that bad. throw it away. try to picture in your mind the absolute shittiest turbo you could find in a junkyard. got a picture made up in your head? good. now, take a look at what you just bought. there's not much of a difference, is there?

you don't need to get a an exhaust housing for it. you need to throw it away. no, it won't put down any decent power. it will spool up very quickly, but will fall on it's face way too early. even if it did work, (which it won't), you'd get sick of the shitty powerband very quickly. throw it away.

seriously, throw it away. learn from buying this piece of ****. throw it away. finding a decent size turbo in decent condition doesn't mean you have to spend a lot of money. it just means you have you be patient and keep looking. don't skimp on the heart of a turbo build.

does the turbine even move? when you spin it, it should spin with very little resistance, and keep moving for a relatively long time, like a skateboard wheel with good bearings. also, when you grab the turbine and move it from left to right, there should be minimal free play back and forth (none is best). if it moves, it means your bearings are worn.
