just another slow honda
So i posted up pictures not to long ago to show that i had made a come back from getting raped by the machine shop, well now its time to put some numbers to the pictures.
First the car:
Now the numbers with C16:
637hp with 451 torque was at the 27lb(ish) range. There was a lot more power to be made but as you can see in the blue pull that i was having sparatic ignition problems (msd sci). Also with less than 4 hours time on my newely rebuilt turbo it was blowing out the exhaust seals and started scraping the houseing, so boost was real unstable.
My tuner it going to send me my 93 octane tune soon, but i think my numbers from 14-16 lbs was around 468hp, but im not sure, so i will just wait till i get that dyno.

lol, thanks.
But thats the sad part, i dont know about traction cause i pretty much took the turbo off as soon as i pulled off the dyno so i could get it fixed. I havent even drove the car yet.

nice setup. prolly all the msd crap thats breaking up. i'd suggest staying as stock as possible in the ignition area. the only reason i have a 6AL is for the 2 step.

Re: (turbodohcsi)
Double check all your wiring connections, make sure they are all good. Take any power and ground off the battery also. Good luck, nice setup.

We have run MSD stuff on almost all the cars we do, the digital series boxes hold up to a good bit more power than you are making Mike.
Try using the good MSD stuff, I think your opinion will change.

i believe you. i guess my opinion of their stuff is skewed since they've given me problems before. i guess the digital is another animal.

Re: just another slow honda (mr. Grind)
thanks for all the responces.
and for the 1000cc injectors being able to supply the fuel for this power....? I dont know, but even at this power the afr is around 11.5 or so, and there was a couple times i spike to like 30lbs and both the injectors and tsunami pump had no problems keeping up.
Yeah, i will be running the digital stuff this time around, I believe msd can do it... just not with the little msd sci box (I just had it laying around, so i used it).
Pump gas horsepower was 468 at 14-16lbs, Im still waiting on my tuner to get me that graph, he hasnt been in town.
Oh, and with the intercooler piping, all i had to do was bend one of the tabs on the fog lights and then i was easily able to route the piping under the fog lights.
And here is a pic of the fuel setup. I really thought i was going to need more, so i went ahead and bought a bosch 044 and took it to the dyno with me. p.s. those arent the tires that are on my car now, those were just the "sit in one spot for a long time" tires.

Re: just another slow honda (ek9t72)
we stopped around 8500 because the ignition was being stupid. But it when all the kinks are worked out Ill probably be revving to 9200 or so.
