Re: junkyard turbo questions (smashed4thgen)
what don't you get about it?
they do have a list of most OEM turbo cars and the turbo nomenclature to it.
the most common turbos used are t25 of the DSM cars later models, 14B DSM cars earlier models, T3 very common, domestic and imports. and KKK turbos of the euro cars.

Re: junkyard turbo questions
does anyone know what the numbers on that site (junkyard turbo list) mean?
i.e. GAR TB0344 would that be smaller than GAR TB0359 I would assume?
would it be a t3 /w 44 mm compressor?

Re: junkyard turbo questions (smashed4thgen)
You really should consider looking into T3/T4's as well, as they have the same flange for the manifolds as the T3's (which makes sense, considering that the "T3" part of a "T3/T4" turbo is the turbine housing), and will generally make better high end power. Do a search, there's LOTS on this in past threads

Re: junkyard turbo questions (johnisenglish)
i always thought it was the other way around....t4 was the houseing and the turbine was t3...havin a smaller turbine would make it spool quicker with the potential to flow more air with a bigger housing
