Junkyard sohc turbo for auto d16a6 ? I want low end...

I am starting a project on the wife's car and am considering either turboing or s/c ing her sohc powered DC2 integra coupe.

The setup is automatic and I am not interested in making ''big power''... I just want a simple low boost setup with a fast spooling unit (on a budget) for merging or passing the random slow poke on the highway.

My question... what is the best oem turbo unit I could use on this engine for great low end performance ?

I was considering the K03 turbo from the VW's, but will get access to many turbos from japanese cars... Cefiros, Silvias, Starlets, Rx7's etc....

Any recommendations ?

t25 off of an eclipse if you want a fast spool and not looking for high hp numbers. If you want to do it cheap get an hf manifold and adapter plate with some eclipse 450cc injectors and a resistor box.

X2BOARD 10-25-2006 08:51 PM

Well I already got a drag type log manifold and a basic bov for the setup when I bought the car... all I really need is a turbo, lines, i/c and piping as far as hard parts go... so going turbo will be kinda cheap.

Wouldn't a set of 240cc b series injectors do the job ? Eclipse injectors are hard to find where I am.... it's either that or I get an extra injector controller off a friend of mine.

Anything would spool faster than the t25 ? A 14b ?

Eclipse t25 with a fresh rebuild and you'll be good to go. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

t3 .42/.48

i ran a t25 on my del sol for a while, it started spooling around 2-2.5k, had almost no turbo lag. only ran 6lbs of boost but got good gains and had alot of fun with it.

I was gonna say that but if he wants an almost instanteous spool I'd go with the t25 if he wants good throttle response and hes not looking for an outrageous amount of power

the 240 cc injector from b are the same as the 240 cc in the a6

go with a t3 .42/.48 from a Saab or Volvo. quick spool(i get 12psi by 3300) and will hold power through redline

A small T25 would be good or even a WRX TDO4-L. A T3 .42/.48 is more of a mid-range performer.

Looks like the T25 I had on my Z6, It was very responsive! that would work great for the A6 with an automatic. Super quick low end!

Re: (Brain3208)

so is the t25 really limited to 200 whp?
that sucks i was told it can run up to about 14 psi
and that it would be able to push me to the 250 whp mark
but that was from a Nissan shop that don't deal with Honda's
but whatever it was free
