JRSC's i have heard they suck?
wwaaassuuppp.
i have heard some good and some bad about JRSC's.
bad- they overheat/heat up and run like ***.
good-- make your car hella quick and require not too much maintenance
is it just dumb people not knowing how to properly tune a engine with a SC or are they shady?
i was planning to super charge a b18c1 and a b18c5 and was curious to hear from those who have chargers, thanks to all that respond.

IMO, they dont suck. Oscar didnt make them to be an all out power machine. And so many peopel are trying so hard to get as much hp out of them when its not possible with out some sort of intercooling. At 8psi max they work great, but anything above that they really get hot while compressing the air.
If you want 230whp max, then JRsc is for you. But I wanted a little more. Dustin and I know someone that is gonna run 9's with the jrsc and no other power adders. isnt that right dustin?

i have a JRSC. I like it. I'm running 6psi and I like it. JRSC
If you want insane speed and high hp figures, look elsewhere... like turbo.

Actually they blow...
Anyway, I own one, and am happy with it... There are three things that the JRSC isn't good with...
1. Intake air heat. I have a gauge hooked up to my intake manifold temp. sensor, and at full boost, the blower air temp is HOT. Solution: INTERCOOLER. Not an easy task on a JRSC'd Honda.
2. It's not perfect right out of the box... I had to spend another $500 just to get the base kit to run right (fuel management and timing issues). Jackson has since rectified this issue. I wanted more out of it, so I spin it faster, have a VAFC, and alot of engine cooling tricks.
3. If you want max power, buy a turbo. If you want a good daily driver, same/better gas mileage, a Mustang surpriser, and that cool wining sound buy an Eaton blower. I'm sick and tired of everyone saying "JRSC sucks." My bet is that whoever makes that claim is driving their Mom's Caravan (complete with Mugen sticker) or owns a turbo, in which case they can talk sh*t (and lemme know how long the motor lasts). I'm on 50K SC'd miles and going. 90K on the car.
Turbo=Good.
JRSC=Good.
