Default JRSCed GSR possibly blown cat smoking black/purple under boost??

just as the title says, it's a 94 GSR w/ a JRSC pushin' about 6 lbs of boost. When I'm wide open throttle, the exhaust is black and has a purple tint to it... could this be caused by the blown cat??? also, I just had to refill my coolant-- for reason unknown. Could these two things be related? Thanks in Advance.

Sounds like a possible blown headgasket. blackish blue smoke is oil. and if you are burning coolant thats sign of headgasket failure.
