OK guys im thinking of putting a JRSC on my ITR delsol! Is it worth the cash? $1500
and if you had $1500 to spend what would you do with it? Im not going to add a turbo too much mantince for me! Any input would be great.

Well, I wouldnt suggest any kinds of FI then. If you went through motors.
Also, the supercharger can still be heard.

This may not be the right board to ask this question on as most people are turbo biased. I had a JRSC on my old '94 GS-R and really liked it! After totalling the car, I got a new (at the time) '00 GS-R and decided to give the darker side a try... and now I'm turbo biased, too.
My opinion ---> As long as the sc kit is in good working order, go for it! Most go for around $1800 or so used, so sounds like you may be getting a deal. Although it isn't a popular choice here, superchargers are ok by me. I never had any negative issues with mine except belt replacement. If it's fast, I like it.
Good luck.

Ya why are they a gamble?
From what i have read, as long as the rotor blade still have all there coating (the tips are not shiney) and there are no dings that they are all good.
"True that. All of the people that I know with Superchargers end up with Turbochargers within a few months (After sitting in a Turbo car)."
I dont know about that, I drove my friends turbo si and while it was a **** load of fun driving on the backroads and open road, it didnt fully spool up til like 3k RPM.
Now, I do alot of driving in San Francisco - having instant boost and nice torque to make it in an opening of cars is going to be SWEET
Also (I know I will get flamed for this ) I plan on towing a trailer with my car. Just a small Class I for my dirtbike, the supercharger will help with that.
So the JRSC DOES have its place. While its fun to drive ***** out, you cant do it ALL THE TIME (unless you like cops )

Re: is the JRSC worth spending $1500 on????? (SCsol)
You're welcome. I just wanted to share my experience since I've actually had one. You don't need my support... it's your money. I just re-read your initial post. Here are more of my opinions:
From what I remember, many (not all) of the Type R guys weren't nearly as fortunate when it came to putting down the higher Hp numbers with the JRSC kit. Seems like (in general) they had more "issues" (detonation, etc.) than most of the GS-R people. Hopefully your case will be different, but who knows? Did I read something above about 12 psi? If so, I think you're looking at more than $1500 and a few of those "issues". Never mind what other people tell you (myself included), be realistic and honest with yourself. If you're the type of person who's gonna keep dumping money into the car to make it more powerful, there may be better options. ... and turbos are expensive! Whatever choices you make, best of luck!
Take care,
