Default JRSC w/itr intake cam only...Recommended?

I am about to install a JRSC at 6psi on my gsr with i/h/e. however, i also have a itr intake cam currently installed, not both. I have read the archives and many have apparently made more power with GSR cams, but no one has ever only used a itr cam. I wonder if it would make a difference and its worth it for me to replace it with my stock gsr intake cam. At the same time, I'm thinking it might be beneficial because it will allow for more air to be exchanged...anyone have any comments on this?

thanks.

Most people I've seen use stock GSR cams. ITR's don't seem to work AS well when boosting.

Dyno it, and let us know!!

Most people use the ITR exhaust cam only with cam gears. You can usually see a 8-10 HP increase with that cam.

really? Well, considering my limited budget right now, would you recommend leaving it itr intake/gsr exhaust or just gsr/gsr?

Actually you are wrong. If you want a decent OEM cam set-up run the ctr/itr intake, gsr exhaust. Vtec b-series seem to like the high lift on the intake, lower lift on the exhaust. Flamenco-T ran .65 bar, no ebc with a Drag kit tuned via hondata and made 275whp (b18c1). No other changes than the itr intake cam, with stock cam gears internally. JRSC powerband is different than a turbo, so all bets are off as to what will happen. I would just run stock gsr cams with a JRSC.

Jackson, you are saying gains with the R intake cam with a turbo application or jrsc?

Yep. the JRSC has no problem taking in air. it does have a problem expelling the gases though and that is where the ITR exhaust cam is beneficial.

ITR Exhaust cam...like he says, people have seen anywhere from 6-10whp tuned.

According to some of the more experienced JRSC tuners, the exhaust cam is more beneficial than the intake cam, which is nearly useless.
