JRSC Supercharger Questions (D16Y8)
so i'm getting the jackson racing supercharger for a Y8 and i'm wondering what they went for new? if anyone knows that would be great because i'm trying to figure out how much i should pay, it's in (i think) near pristine condition so a range would be good thanks.
on top of that i know the Y8 can handle a LITTLE boost on stock internals, so i was thinking of cleaning it, re-ringing it, and running about 5-6 psi. i'm getting a new radiator, i have mounts and some stuff already on the car.
i'm wondering if there is anything to know that isn't something obvious. i've read the manual, and done some research so i was curious if there was anything that's going to "hit me out of nowhere" kinda thing?
oh and i'm just curious if this is a plausible question:
on stock internals, how long should the engine hold out?
thank you in advance, i appreciate the input.

Re: JRSC Supercharger Questions (D16Y8)
The last few kits sold by Moss went for $1995 + Freight.
A fair price is up to you... the key is that you get a COMPLETE kit. Missing proprietary (JRSC only) parts should be a deal breaker because very few spare parts are still available. If you have the ability to custom make any of these parts, you may be less bothered by this.
If the missing parts are of a general nature, like coolant hoses or vacuum lines, I wouldn't worry too much.
Also, if the coating is chipped or missing on the blower lobes, you will make less boost, and in turn, less power.
Good luck.
