JRSC with s1 tranny??
Im putting a JRSC on my b16a1 with a s1 tranny
I was planning on rebuilding the tranny but I was wondering if it would be more benifitial for me to just get a new tranny possibly one with longer gearing.

A tranny with lower gears only mutiplys your torque. You won't have to worry about keeping a turbo spooled so long gears arn't needed. By using a tranny with short gears will make it rev quicker and make the car quicker once you get traction. I use a type R tranny with a 4.40 FD, I did have a 478 FD which made the car even quicker but traction was impossible.
Hope this helps.

I had this setup in my car with a GSR motor. You want to keep the S1 trans because the supercharged car is alot like a NA car. The LS trans will kill your acceleration. When you make your shifts it will drop you out of the powerband. You want the tighter gears. on 22" slicks you can like 108 in the traps...I beleive I had to shift 5th with my 113 mph passes, revving to like 8600 you could probably go 119-120....Brian
