Default JRSC Removed now car won't start

Hi, I just finished removing the JRSC from my 98 GSR and the car will not start.

I was running DSM 450s with the resistor box and replaced it with the stock injectors. I also put the stock fuel pump and factory ecu back in. When I turn the key I hear the fuel pump priming and the usual lights come up on the dash with no code. But the car will not crank at all. Does not even turn over once. The radio and electrical seem fine.

I only removed 2 grounds when doing the uninstall, the engine and alternator ground. I double checked that the alternator is grounded, all the sensors are plugged in, coolant refilled and vacuum lines all connected. I tried plugging in the conversion harness w/p28 and got the same result.

If I wired/sodered the injectors incorrectly will the car not crank? A short?

Any suggestions on what I should check?

Sounds almost like you have a half-dead or mostly-dead battery. When you turn the key does the engine do anything at all? Any clicking?

I hear the fuel pump priming and then a soft click and when I goto start it, it makes a crank noise for the first second then stops. I havn't driven the car since Wednesday night so it has been 4 days now. I will try to boost the battery in the morning and see what happens. But before the charger was removed I only drove the car like every 3rd day and it seemed fine.

I found my error.. I must have connected a coolant line to a vacuum line!
When I pulled the plugs I see coolant in the chamber. I bled the coolant out the rad.. Now how do I get the coolant out of the chamber? How much damage have I done!?

Damn, bro...that's an ugly mistake. You can easily bend rods that way, but since the engine wasn't at speed when the water went in, you are probably ok. To get the coolant out of the chambers, take all of the spark plugs out and then turn the engine over. Coolant will shoot out and make a mess, so be prepared.

Can someone please tell me where the PCV valve connects to on the gsr? I know it's got air and it connects to the intake manifold somewhere. Is it on the top next to the throttle body?

Also the valve on the bottom of the intake manifold. There's only one valve on the bottom under the intake manifold support bracket. Where does that connect to?

dont forget to let it sit for a while and air out too,
so anything leftover in there evaporates,
before you start it again..

not that I have experience with this, but just seems like something i'd want to do.

valve on top of manifold before the TB is connected.

Valve under the intake manifold behind the IM support bracket. That's an air hose right?

I have one of the evap hoses connected to that valve on top right now.

Also the IAC on the back of the IM. One hose connects to the throttle Body. The other connects to the heater hose that runs along the block right?

Anyone know their b18c1 motor?

been there done that... haha... i wouldnt let it sit too long with coolant in the cylinder chambers.. fire that sucka up and burn it out.. ever see the mess coolant leave on top of you rad when you spill it or around leaky hoses... now imagine that in your cylinders... your valves.... not good... burn it out, disconnect the exhaust before the cat and pull your o2 sensor and run the car for five minutes and let that crap burn out of there... if it gets in the cat... bye bye cat... if it gets in the o2 sensors... bye bye o2 sensors....

any hoses coming off the I.M. it self get no water! there is an idle air control valve somehwhere on it, probably on the back or under side that does get water, (it bolts on to the I.M. for temp. reference) also the throtle body gets water.... 1 in and 1 out. the one out should go to the I.A.C. valve..

it should come from the thermo stat housing > throtle body > I.A.C. valve > back in to block(maybe into the pipe cooming from the water pump)

should be alright just dont let that gunk into your exhaust or sit in the cylinders too long..

good luck

okay guys.. finally got the car to crank.. and it blasted that crap all over my ceiling..

Problem is.. there's still crap in the chamber.. and the battery is dying.. I've hooked up another car to it and tried cranking.. but doesn't look like anything is coming out.. so I put the plugs in and tried to fire the car up to burn out the rest.. but the car still won't catch.

Am I suppose to keep cranking it or what should I do next?

Thanks guys..

I don't mean to sound like an ******* or anything, but the very first think I would have checked after an FI install or removal would be the spark plugs. I checked them three times within the first two hours of turbocharging my buddy's RSX-S and they speak volumes to how the car is running.

Well, it never came across my mind since the plugs tell you how the car is running once it actually cranks over and runs.. but I didn't even get that far. Anyhow, they were new plugs but I guess they got messed up from the coolant. Thought I could just wipe them down and it would be kool.. Ah well, this is was a learning process..

WOT: This cold weather really bites especially when you have to work on your car.. Need to move to a nice sunny hot place.. can't wait for spring..

You're telling me.. but cold weather is b00st friendly. I love the boost spikes when it's -20C to -30C on the 6psi pulley makes it 8psi from the dense cold air Car runs amazingly fast in the cold.
