JRSC + NOS, 25-35 wet shot
whats up guys . Ive been running my Hybrid Civic for 5 years now.
It's JRSC with 11 psi, non intercooled. It ran a best of 240whp.
Typical 1/4 mile times were 12.4 @ 110 mph on 20 inch M/T slicks.
I want more power now. It's not my daily driver. Its a weekend / track car.
I want to add a shot of nitrous to it to get more power.
I,ve read alot of the topics alredy about running a small 25-35 shot (WET).
My questions are :
Do you think i can get away with running a 25-35 wet shot while running 11 psi and the 10 to 1 compression ratio ?
I just replaced my rings about 6 months ago.
i only have a piggy back VAFC now, but dont want to spend alot of money on electronics if theyre not needed.
Would i need any sort of better electronic controls for the addition of nitrous ?
I'm basiclayy running a 25-35 wet fogger into the intake tube before teh throttle body.
I have a J& S safeguard to keep detonation down while testing it.
im running 310 injectors also, if im adding fuel and nos, does my injector size matter ?
Any input would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks.
Car BIO :
94 gsr B18c1 jrsc @ 11 psi
mild ported head
STR exhaust cam gear , set at 4 advanced.
Type R exhaust cam
Kamikaze headers
3" straight exhaust, no cat
RC 310 injectors
BOSCH FUEL PUMP (HUGH) in-tank
cartech 2005 FPR
stock rods, pistons, head gasket, etc...
VAFC
J&S safeguard
del sol radiator

Re: (Gojira D.O.T)
Run Hondata, 440/550 cc injectors. 25-30 wet shot through the blower is totally fine. Done it many times.
The last one made 300 whp at 8 psi with a 20 shot on a totally stock GSR.
Get rid of the mickey mouse piggy back junk either way.

Re: (CRVRX)
which hondata should i use
i dont want to spend alot more on the car.
i just put in 800 for the nitrous and accessories
injectors + hondata will prolly cost me another 500 or so
is there somewhere i can get the hondata and injectors cheaper.
ive poured more than 21000 into my car in teh past 10 years.
thanks guys
BTW, what size plugs should i run, and what timing would be safe ?
ill probably start off with teh timing low and gradually build it up
John, I will have the nitrous finished shortly, Do you have a DYNO. I would really like to dyno it at your shop opposed to another shop. Ive talked to you a few times and you seem to know what your doing. Let me know, i live in miami. Also, how much do you charge for dyno tuning, etc... ?
thanks,
Chris

Re: JRSC + NOS, 25-35 wet shot (SCHYBRID)
That is just a little tickle of nitrous, you will be just fine with that. Even a 75hp tune wouldn't be anything to worry about. One bit of advice though, drill and tap the nozzle into your intake behind the TB, not infront of it. That will help keep you from being another one of these "nitrous blew up my engine" guys.

Re: JRSC + NOS, 25-35 wet shot (Phase Change Racing)
ive always heard not to run nitrous before the blower cause it puts more wear on the fins.. i would use one of the ports on the back of hte I/M.. thats what im going to do with my jackson! If your afr's are good not a 35 wet shot on top should be just fine.. maybe add another degree of retard on timing
