JRSC Help! Car dies at a stop! Idles low.
Looking for some help, just put in a new motor w/JRSC, d16z6 in my 1993 Civic Si Hatch. When the RPM's drop at a stop light or sign the car will die, otherwise it runs good. Any sugestions? Throwing code 22 hopefully fix that today. Could this be because of cam timing? It has an adjustable cam gear. Could it be some issue with the throttle body?
TIA

Cam timing, base ignition timing, or even bad sensors can play a factor. Check out what Code 22 is then start from there.

It was Vtec pressure valve, that problem is fixed, it was unpluged somehow.
Car still dies at a stop light. How can i check teh cam timing?

To find out what the cam timing is 100%, you will need a degree wheel and degree the motor. Maybe there's another method to do it, but I'm not an expert in this area.

Just FMU that came with it, I also retarded the timing a bit.
