Default JRSC 6 p.s.i. D16y8 tuned on P28 and I got an exhaust question

Hell-O

I have 2 1/4" exhaust piping and want to put my stock muffler back on to reduce the loudness/raspiness. I already got my p28 tuned for my JRSC setup with a 5 Zigen Fireball exhaust. So I'm wondering if putting the more retrictive stock muffler back on will do any harm or not run in tune?

Would I have to retune with the wideband?

Answers appreciated!

You should be ok concerning a/f ratios not changing much.
Concerning the amount of ignition timing the setup can handle due to the restrictive exhaust is a different story.

More then likely, you will be ok.

IF you're going to run stock muffler, you might as well yank off that supercharger. You're choking the motor with a stock muffler.

I'd suggest getting a good big resonator and a good brand muffler and trying that before throwing the stock muffler back on.

Putting a more restrictive exhaust will make your tune a bit richer. Having said that, i would find a larger exhaust that doesn't sound raspy. Like Chimmike said, you're going to be choking it off and losing some of the power you made...

Good answers, although I am wondering if I can modify my oem exhaust to 2 1/4" piping.

Any one know? Difficult?
