jrsc @ 11.8:1
im building an ls/vtec blah blah blah i want power but i want reliability.
if i had an LHT intercooler, jrsc @ 8psi, and the tuning + fuel to go with it.... would 11.8:1 ls/vtec on 91 octain be reliable or is it a time bomb just waiting to explode?
i know if i had a lil greddy kit at 6 psi, that motor should take the abuse all day if enough timing is removed; however im not too familiar with superchargers and their differences (besides sucking) compared to turbos; If they are a little less extreme on the motor or what. (the reason i don't want to turbo is cost - lht intercooled jrsc can be had for under 2000 w/ a set of injectors)
my build is going to be an LS bottom end w/ pr3 (b16) pistons and a GSR head, all new gaskets and stuff will be used for the build - controlled by a p28 (hondata). am i just better off with a set of stage 2 cams and sub 200whp

Re: jrsc @ 11.8:1 (tegasaurus)
11.8 on 91 i'd be very careful.
Personally I wouldn't do it.
watch that tip in detonation.
Its possible to do it safe, but not on 91 octane, especially on non-forged internals.
superchargers are worse if anything on the motor because of the heated air.
I'm not sure what kind of deal your getting on the LTH IC and the JRSC, but the JRSC is $2600 new and the LTH IC Is aournd $1000.
