JRC 8" IC...Keeping stock grills?
Those of you who have the JRC 8" IC on an EG, WITHOUT cutting the stock grills completely out, can you post a pic of how you mounted it without the bumper on? I'm curious to see how you guys were able to do it...I do not want to cut my grills out...I can live with the middle one...but I def. don't want to cut the fog grills out...TIA
Couldn't find anything from searching "JRC"

I doubt you will be able to keep the stock grill. I couldn't even keep the stock grill with the 5 inch JRC intercooler. Just start hacking **** until it fits, if you can get it in there without completely cutting the grill out then cool, if you can't there's not much you can do.

There has to be a way to get it to fit...I've seen a couple with the grills still in. Plus I've seen people with thicker ICs (precision mainly) still keep the stock grills...

Thats exactly it. Ive seen a few that have the 6" and 8" JRC Intercooler on Eg's. They said they had to trim down the Bumper support a little bit to get it to fit (for the 8") The 6 should fit just fine without any modification. I plan on using the 8" for my setup.

same with me, granted my 5 inch is on an EF instead of an EG
theres no procedure involved though, or no need to follow what someone else did, just start trimming some stuff here and there and visualize the whole thing. it will take a while but the more you rush it, the more likely it will turn out ugly. so take your time and do it right, little by little.

i had to cut the hell out of mine, both center grill and side vents. and thats with a 6in. With the bumper support completely intack, the 6in hangs a little low.

first off, i dont have a bumper support.
second, i have the inlet/outlet are placed on top.
i used 3 L brackets that were supplied. 2 of them on the bottom on the outer bolt holes. and the top one is centered.
i cut out my side vents. and started trimming the center vent until it fit.

8" JRC. I could have kept the foglight holes but I got this bumper from someone who already cut them out.

i got my JRC 8" to fit behind my 4dr eg bumper grills, it was only easier to do, after i removed the bumper support though. A little trimming here and there will go a long way. good luck
