Default Jotech tuned:298hp @ 15 pounds(please read and give input)

I just got tuned at Jotech and I made a very pathetic 298 hp at 15 pounds of boost with the following mods. I ended up wasting the $600 on this peice of **** tune . Please tell me if i was expecting to much and should be satisfied.
The motor was a new motor and head just built and installed.
engine mods:
Jg Pro series block w/9:1 Je pistons, cunningham rods
Jg Pro series head w/ Jg 296/300 cams
Jg edelbrock manifold
Turbo set up:
Jg lightspeed tubular manifold
XS to4x turbo
40mm racegate
xs skyline core
greddy type r wastegate
Management:
Accel DFI
msd 6al
msd external coil
Fuel:
96lbs per hour injectors
str rail
1000hp paxton pump
aeromotive regulator
stock fuel lines
I think that about covers the motor mods
The car has made 504hp @ 20lbs when it had stock intake manifold and 750cc injectors.

What motor is this? What was wrong with the tune? How long was your tuning session?

It would help if you knew what motor. It is a GSR motor. the tuning session began at 10.30am and went to 9:00 pm

Makes no sense how the car made 500whp, then by switching the intake manifold to a better breathing unit, with larger injectors that it made less power. If it was a gsr stock intake manifold, your gains should have been pretty dramatic at that power level you were once at. If anything aftermarket intake manifolds on the gsr heads make the torque curves much better, and give a definate gain over the stock counterpiece. Sounds like someone wasnt up on their tuning skills.

Sounds like something is wrong here?? please post the chart. I have seen very good #'s from jotech in the past on a mild setup. There has to be more behind this!!!

Kenny Tran was tuning the car himself. I dont want to even run the car because of the tune.

umm ya there's something wrogn with that 15psi tune at 298hp, like theres a blown headgasket or something! Just stating something is really wrong not that you need a new gasket or anything.

you need to give us more info.

there is something else happening.

do you think there is a problem?

what did you car do as a baseline run?

why do you think the tuning was soo bad?

I have heard only good things about jotech.

it sounds like something else is happening and you arent telling us everything.

did any of the people at the shop make any comments on why you are making not much hp?

I told everything that happened the motor is sound and holds 50 lbs of oil pressure. Kenny seemed satisfied with the 15 psi pull. They kept complaining about the stock fuel lines but they are the same as when it was making alot more power.

look in the september of 2000 turbo mag and there you can read the info and look at pics of the car. The car used to be driven by tony fuch and ran 10.9 @ 134.

what was the baseline run?

what did he tune wrong on your car?

what were the a/f ratios?

unless he richened the hell out of the thing and screwed up the timing, there is not much you can do to make a motor loose 150+whp just from tuning.

so, if you motor is perfectly healthy. is the point of this post just to point out the fact that you think jotech cant tune worth a darn?

Just bigger injectors the manifold and a fresh motor.

So everything besides the turbo was changed? Have you done a compression test or leak down? To much was changed at once before any fingers are pointed. Did JG build the motor for you?

what was ur baseline before they started tuning? if it was even worse than what u had in the end then maybe there was something fishy with the setup to start with or maybe something just happened to go wrong or break between the time it was running 20 psi, to when u changed all those things, to when u recently got it tuned. i mean, if u had really low numbers going in already u shouldve already been suspicious something was wrong. and it doesnt sound like u came out with less power than u went in with otherwise i'm sure it wouldve been mentioned and u wouldve complained to them on the spot. who did the work and what was the setup before ur changes?

same engine management, ignition, motor set up including compression, turbo set up, fuel set up minus injectors. everything replaced was an upgrade.
