Re: JG/Edelbrock intake manifold.....experiences?? (integra7)
i have one. i have a freshly built motor and i just put a JG manifold on about 1000 miles ago. Since then i have had problems with oil coming out of my breather valve, not sure why. but i have friend tell me its my pcv valve going bad so i take it up to the shop and ask and he said he left it un hooked. soo what do you guys think? is that the problem? or is it something else? oh and the oil is fresh golden oil too, not black and no smoke either. plus there is no smoke out of the exhaust.
what do you think?
but for your help i got on it and it feels like it pulls once it hits vtec then at about 7 grand it feels like it starts pulling again or something kinda cool, kinda weird.
hope this helps,
Josh

I have one, but can't tell you much because I've had it for less than a week. Seems to gain a little in the low end, but can't be sure yet. No problems no far, except you may have to re-do your intake plumbing, and you may have to change out your fuel regulator to fit.

it comes with plugs, some fittings, and a gasket for your TB which you'll need to cut. i think there are some extra wires in there too in case your IAC valve doesnt reach...

yes the pcv valve will cause oil to come out of the breather...they are rated for 7-10k rpm's, just a bit too high for me... i need somethin thats like 5-9k or so

I've only been able to test it on a turbo gsr motor, was 290hp with stock gs intake manifold and jumped to 335 with the jg unit and upgraded t/b.
if youre mechanically inclined, you wont have any problems, just need to pick up some brass fittings for hose attachments. Used aftermarket rail, but stock rail will also work.

Re: JG/Edelbrock intake manifold.....experiences?? (CHEETAH)
I have a B16A1 and I want to go with the JG mainfold. My question is this. Will a BBK Mustang 80mm Race throttle body fit the manifold? I'm wondering if it will since a good friend of mine uses a 80mm in his Civic and I think I should go with the same. I could go 75mm not too sure, my question is will the Mustang ones fit it? TPS is not a problem since I have a standalone computer that basically learns any TPS anyway. Thanks guys for your help.

Re: JG/Edelbrock intake manifold.....experiences?? (B16A1 - EF9)
I just got mine today. It's already made to take a 66mm TB. If I knew that I would have ordered a 66mm TB but I ordered a 70. It looks like 70 is about the max you can bore it out before you run out of room and the IACV leaks out the side.

I bored mine to fit a 70mm TB. You can maybe squeeze out a 78mm TB, but you start to get extremely close to the IACV. Actually mine boring opened up a small pit....of which lead into the IACV bolt hole. Do you want to sell your 70mm TB?

Re: JG/Edelbrock intake manifold.....experiences?? (integra7)
well i ordered mine from summit for $337 shipped and i got it in 2 days, so i dunno why people are waiting, unless you found a better price, cause summit has them in stock. I put mine on my 2000 si and heres how it went. it comes with tb gasket, plugs, fittings and thats it. you need no iac wire cause it sits much lower than stock and the iac and the stock wires will reach with no probs. my intercooler piping was not cut at all but it is now a bit lower in the front near the bumper. you will need some fuel line for your fpr as you have to mount it upside down for clearance so your stock hose will be too short, i just used a integra fpr with the curved end so i could mount it the stock way. The stock si throttle cable bracket will not work and some thing will have to be used. i just got some metal and a crx bracket and it was easy. also get a new intake mani gasket as im sure you will need on if your tears. As for power im runnning a untuned hondata 3b and the intake cause alot of lowend torque to disapear. but the sec vtec kicks in its crazy and totally makes up for it. the vtec is now super loud even with a turbo, im sure my lower rpm probs will be fixed with the tunning im getting done on the 5th. I think one of the main benifits is the looks of the thing, its so clean looking and just looks "all race style" and for 337bucks its a great deal. install time was about 2 hours farting around. have fun!
