Jet Hot Coating on Rear Turbo Housing???
I just got my turbine housing for Precision Turbo Jet coated. I noticed they coated the inside of the turbo. Has anyone had this done and did it have any negative effects?? if it did for some reason come off it would only exit the exhaust anyway. The other thing is that the exhaust housing was ported but now is coated. Will this have any affect on flow??

My INNOVATIVE turbo turbine housing was jet hot coated ... i havent really got my set up on the track yet dueto the lack of support/help, but i noticed that it was not rusted and its been sitting for over a year. start it once in a while and DP got some rust stains already..damn i should have coated that too..

the jet hot coating is so thin that it wont affect the dimension s of ported metal. jet hot coatings are very nice, the only gripe w / them is that i sent them a hks wg to coat and when i got it back only the bottom was coated and on every hks, i always see the tops rusted

You will have no problems with the coating on the inside. HPC does the same thing. If anything, it will aid in detering carbon build up on th einner wall of teh turbine housing.

Would it be sugguested to get I/C piping and Downpipe Hot-Jet or HPC coated?
I am thinking of having those done along with my manifold and turbine housing.

Re: Jet Hot Coating on Rear Turbo Housing??? (MotorMatrix.com)
Did you get the Jet-Hot standard (1300F) or the Jet-Hot 2000 (2450F) on your Motor?
I am thinking of getting the manifold, turbine housing and downipe done in the Jet-Hot 2000.
Any comments on getting those 3 things coated?
Thx

I'm not sure which one they used. I'm sure it was the higher of the 2 since its on a turbo manifold and rear housing. Mine wasnt sent out to jet hot themselves. mine was done by hotshots locally here. http://www.hotshotusa.net

the higher grade temp of jet hot coating is the ugly ones haha. they are usually darker in color and will trap more heat. the jet hot 2000 is the classic "polished" .. i have a wg bottom done by them..the quality was ok.
i have also had work done at hpc coatings..polished coating stuff....i wonder about the heat properties...
