Jet Coating Turbine Side?
I picked up a new 30r and I want to get the turbine housing coated before I put it on the car.
Where can I send it, who does everyone recommend.
Just want a high temp black coating, nothing fancy, but want it to last.
Links/prices/turn around time.
Thanks in advance

you can prolly do it yourself and have it come out pretty nice. a lot of people coat their own housings them selves. im gonna do it on my turbo once i get time.

Not the same. I did it 10 years ago. It has to be baked on specifically at a heat range in order for it to last longer than a couple of months. I think one customer still has his coatings that we did over 5 years ago, and though slightly faded, no chipping or peeling, and is warm to the touch in 10 minutes after shut down..
Not that I'm dismissing the DIY approach, but if you're going to do it, and the resources can avail themselves, do it correctly.

If it wasn't an expensive turbo I wouldn't care to try and do it myself. My old 57trim, or even the 14b I ran around for some time years back, but not a $1000+ turbo..lol.

eh, price shouldnt matter. long as you know what your doing. unless its more cost effective to have it done when you buy the turbo.
