Default JDM B18c gsr + boost question

Friend has a jdm b18c gsr 10.5 compression and has installed a turbo kit all ready with an engine management ready to be installed. He wants to give it a try at 4 pounds with the stock ecu and stock fuel system(just high pressure walbro 255 pump) to see if boost is really for him. Is it a good idea that he try something like that with the stock system(before tuning)? what could happen, and if he wants to try it out, what does he need to be careful of?

you can kiss your pistons goodbye with an idea like that. the stock fuel system is good for STOCK, NOT BOOST...........

save your friend alot of time, hassle, and money by getting him a bigger set of injectors, and some dyno time.

Stock motors w/ AFC hack were good for 7-10 psi no? Once he's prepared to accept the risk of some meltage, its totally up to him. Id atleast go 550's on the injectors tho... Just my 2c

yeah that is the worst idea ive ever heard. If he likes allmotor hes gonna love boost. When u add more air comming into the motor u have to add fuel too go along to keep the A/F's in a safe range. Please dont run it without and fuel mang or he should start saving for a rebuild.
