I was just in the process of installing my exhaust to finish up my turbo project but noticed that the ID of my resonator is very small. I have a 2.5" DP and was planning on running this JDM ITR exhaust which is 2.5". It is one of those jasma exhausts which says for race use only on the muffler. If i look inside the resonator the diameter look very small something close to like 1.5 - 2". It looks perforated with a bunch of holes through out the inside of the resonators. My question is if this will really effect my flow. will this be restrictive. should i just by a 2.5" striaght pipe and replace it. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

you will get more flow out of a 3" to let your turbo breath better.. yes the resonator is effecting flow but it isnt like running into a wall with power lost...

i ran a 3" dp with a Buddy Club Spec2 which is a 2.3" exhaust just like yours is.. it isnt a 2.5"

has anyone ran with / without these resonators. I just want to know if i should just get rid of this or what. Is it gonna make that much of a difference as compared to a straight through 2.5"
